Taking Care of  Your Fine Art Prints

Thank you and congratulations on your purchase of this fine art reproduction.
Years of research and recent technological advances have now made it possible to produce fine art giclees that mirror the artist’s original creations.  Reasonable care should be exercised when handling and displaying your investment.  Below are general recommendations applicable to both framed and unframed prints.

 Professionally Framed Artwork

If you purchased your fine art print framed you can be assured that considerable care was given to your investment prior to your possession.  Please note the back of the frame has been covered with a dust and contaminate paper shield and should not be removed.  In the unfortunate event this shield or the glass front has been damage we recommend repair as soon as possible by a qualified framing technician.

  Unframed Artwork

If you purchased your fine art print unframed we recommend allowing a qualified framing technician to handle this task for you.  Your fine art print is produced on 100% cotton rag, not paper and therefore needs to be hinge mounted, never dry mounted.  Dry mounting will decrease the value and inevitably deteriorate your print.  The surface should not be handled or treated in any way.  Your print should be framed behind glass and protected from environmental contaminants.

  Displaying Fine Art

The purpose of owning fine art is to display and enjoy the beauty and talent of the artist.  As with all fine art, originals or reproductions, it is widely recommended you avoid placing them in direct sunlight or exposing them to extreme temperatures, humidity and environmental contaminates.  Reasonable care will insure a lifetime of enjoyment.
